I want to know, with nylon camera straps (like the ones that come free when you buy a new Canon or Nikon DSLR)), what do you call that material that’s stitched in the middle of the nylon webbing? It’s the one that prevents the strap from slipping.

A friend said it’s nylon but I don’t think it is. Help? :(
